The agents of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified may have kept their operations covert when the game released this past August, but an incoming DLC add-on for the game means that they just might have some more clean-up to do.

In a post on the company's blog, 2K Games announced that their post-launch DLC for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified will be "Hangar 6 R&D," a new piece of single-player content that adds a new story set right before the events of The Bureau as players take on the role of Agent Nico DaSilva during the extraterrestrial invasion, and follow his foray into psychic experimentation programs.

With Hangar 6 R&D, 2K Marin wanted to take the "opportunity to create an entirely different kind of player character from Carter, but [focusing] on keeping that same cool 60s vibe - albeit, the slightly altered vibe of 60s psycho-dynamic experimentation." But, the new DLC will also promise to retain the combat mechanics of The Bureau while also implementing some new abilities and weapons - and, in particular, a higher level of difficulty than in the main game.

Hangar 6 R&D will release exclusively for Xbox 360 as DLC for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, and will be available for $4.99 on October 8th, 2013.
