The DSi Rules Japan

This month’s Japanese hardware sales are in, and Nintendo has taken the chart by storm. The Nintendo DSi, DSi XL(LL in Japan), Wii and DS Lite command the number one, three, five, and six spots on the chart. This surge of Nintendo Handhelds in no doubt related to its beast of a game Pokemon Black/White (get it? Beast?).

Also of note, the PSP is the second best selling console in the country and the Xbox 360 manages to move a petty 2600 units, beating out the PS2 for seventh place. Check out the chart after the break.

1       DSi          49,411
2       PSP         37,576
3       DSi LL     32,777
4       PS3         20,694
5       Wii           16,908
6       DS Lite      7,011
7       Xbox 360   2,599
