Square is known for taking the music of their beloved Final Fantasy series very seriously, and the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII sequel will be no different. Masashi Hamazu, the same man responsible for the decadent Final Fantasy XIII soundtrack, will be returning to score the sequel, along with credited in-house composers Mitsuto Suzuki and Naoshi Mizuta.

According to the source, the soundtrack will span four discs and the limited edition version will be accompanied by a DVD. It'll go on sale on December 14th and it will be priced at 4800 yen or roughly about $63. That's rather pricey for a soundtrack, but if I know Hamazu, it'll be worth every penny.
