The Gran Turismo 6 Demo is Out, Gets a Launch Trailer Featuring GT Academy Winners

Want to get your hands on the Gran Turismo 6 Demo? Starting today you can, as it has just been released on the PSN. Even better news is that it won’t make your hard disk suffer excessively, weighing just over a gigabyte.

Here are the features listed in the official bullet points:

• Hone your skills and post a qualifying lap time at the Silverstone Circuit.
• Unlock special bonus content.
• The top drivers will go on to compete in National Finals events, with the best then selected for race camp at Silverstone, UK – where they will drive real Nissan sports cars.
• The overall winner from race camp will train with professionals in a driver development programme and may then have a chance to qualify as a Nissan racing driver.

In addition to the demo, and the contest, we also get to see a “launch” trailer that features no gameplay, but focuses on the past winner of the GT Academy. After all you’re going to see gameplay right on your PS3, so they didn’t really need to put any in the demo.
