Naughty Dog announced today that The Last of Us Remastered will receive a live update numbered 1.08 today, while the PS3 version of the game will be patched to the version.
This update actually includes the scoped weapons which were announced a while ago, and that the developer and Sony has decided to distribute for free instead of within a DLC package. Below you can check the full patch notes:
New Weapons
- Variable Rifle: Fast and accurate rifle that downs in four shots. Press x while aiming to use the variable scope zoom!
- Scoped Semi-Auto: Scoped version of the Semi-Auto Rifle.
- Scoped Full-Auto: Scoped version of the Full-Auto Rifle
- Scoped Burst Rifle: Scoped version of the Burst Rifle.
New Missions
All new weapons have their own missions

- COMMANDO
- RECON
- SHADOW
- MARKSMAN
- BARRAGE
- SALVO
- SUPPRESSION
The previously announced new maps will be released with another update later this week together with further improvements to the now infamous matchmaking times.
