The winners of the User’s Choice Awards have been announced at the 20th Anniversary PlayStation Awards in Tokyo.

The list of the winners, voted by PlayStation users (making this one of the most relevant awards, as the others are bound to sales), is as follows:

  • Battlefield 4
  • Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
  • Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
  • inFamous: Second Son
  • Watch_Dogs
  • The Last of Us: Remastered
  • Destiny
  • The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki 2
  • FIFA 15
  • The Evil Within

Interestingly, most of the winners are western games. Considering that the voting was conducted between Japanese PlayStation users, that’s quite surprising.

Between the Japanese winners, The Legend of Heroes series proves itself ever popular between gamers in the Archipelago of the Rising Sun. It’s also the only game in the bunch that did not appear on PS4.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
