We already reported that Best Buy and Target had The Last of Us: Remastered pegged for June 20th, but those were dates set from the start by those retailers, with a relevant possibility of them being placeholders. Today the North American branch of Amazon changed its date to June 20th as well, from the previously indicated December 31st.
While this isn’t an official confirmation, it’s definitely a good indication, as a change from a date to another normally means that the retailer heard something solid.
On the other hand, Canadian gamers have been waiting for the game to be made available for pre-order on the local branch of Amazon, and that finally happened today, even if unfortunately it’s still with the price hiked to CDN$ 69,99. It definitely seems that the new price point for games is here to stay.
The date shown by Amazon Canada, differently from the US one, is an obvious placeholder, as July 30th is a Sunday.
