The Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Trailer Is Surprisingly Hysterical and Seems Refreshingly Fun

Today’s Nintendo Direct Mini has been full of surprises and the trailer for their latest Mario outing doesn’t disappoint. Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, the fourth entry into the Mario RPG series, looks to be a very creative and hilarious game for the 3DS.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team revolves around Princess Peach getting abducted (again, the poor dear) and dragged into a dream world. Mario and Luigi must venture into Luigi’s own dream world and rescue her with the aid of the dream Luigis. Gameplay in Dream Team features turned-based combat just as in previous titles but now boss fights are epic, two screen fights that require a special move to defeat.

The humor in the game is excellent and I found myself laughing out loud at many of the jokes–I also loved Bowser’s self-righteous outrage at Peach getting captured by someone other than him. Don’t take my word for it, though, check out the trailer below for yourself.
