The New Humble Bundle Is… a Tad Peculiar

on November 29, 2012 2:30 PM

Everyone knows Humble Bundle as a fantastic way to support both indie developers and charity at the same time, but the new bundle that opened today is just a tad different from the previous ones.

This time the games includes aren’t indie games, but (mostly) AAA titles brought by a rather well known publisher: THQ.

Included in the “pay what you want” bundle are Steam keys for the following games: Darksiders, Company of Heroes, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor, Metro 2033 and Red Faction: Armageddon. Paying more than the average (that is currently at $5.22) will also net you Saints Row: The Third.

That’s a hell of a sweet deal, and you can send as much of the money you pay as you want to charity (Child’s Play and the American Red Cross). I don’t think it could get much better than that, and I’d say it turns the fact that the games aren’t exactly indie into a rather inconsequential point. You can find it here, and watch the trailer below.
