The New Mortal Kombat Vita Trailer Proves Even Your Local Library Isn’t Safe From All the Destruction

One of the things that sets the Vita version of Mortal Kombat apart from its console counterparts is that it’s portable.. The handheld’s rear camera also means you can host your own Mortal Kombat tournament most anywhere, provided there’s enough light for the augmented reality function to work properly.

In the newest trailer for NetherRealms Studios’ portable version of the Mortal Kombat reboot, Scorpion and Sub-Zero have at it — where else? — in a local library. What’s funny is the studious individuals in the background are so wrapped up in their homework they have no idea a war for their souls is raging right beside them. We don’t have a set release date for the game yet, with NeverRealms shooting for spring but we’ll keep you posted. The trailer’s after the jump.
