The voices behind our favorite game characters are often given little thought as we run through numerous levels blasting away foes, but it turns out it's actually quite an exhausting process.

Writing on the PlayStation Blog, Ready at Dawn's Creative Director Ru Weerasuriya explains that the team searched long and hard to find the right vocal talent to bring their cast of characters to life.

Ready at Dawn spent months filtering through the pool of talent before deciding on the final cast.

When you boot up your copy of The Order: 1886 this Friday you may even recognize a few voices. Steve West voices Sir Galahad in The Order: 1886 but you may recognize him from the popular British television programme Hollyoaks. Well, maybe not if you live outside of the British Isles.

Then we have Alice Coulthard who appeared in UK soap Emmerdale, but again, unless you reside in the UK you'll probably have never even heard of the programme.

Graham McTavish takes up the role of Sir Perceval, a character described by Weerasuriya as the most senior and wise of the group, something that's reflected in his extensive filmography as well. McTavish previously voiced characters in Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.

Frederik Hamel lends his larynx to the Marquis de Lafayette character, bringing a certain "je ne sais quoi…” according to Weerasuriya.

Below is the latest official behind the scenes video from the production team of The Order: 1886 where the developers speak more on the cast of characters and what they bring to the story. Check it out, it's a decent little watch if you've got a few minutes to spare.
