The Order 1886 Interview Details the Amazing PS4 Exclusive: “Immersion Should be Total”

on February 18, 2014 9:18 AM

Sony Computer Entertainment UK released a new interview with Ready at Dawn Co-Founder Ru Weerasuriya, introducing the story and gameplay of The Order 1886.

Weerasuriya explains quite a few interesting details, like the fact that the PS4’s tech and specs allowed the studio to code the game so that it transitions seamlessly between cutscenes and gameplay. Immersion is described as one of the most relevant factors of the game, influencing even in the design of the HUD, that is as unobtrusive as possible, and designed in a way that includes elements that you could almost find in the victorian era.

We also learn that the branching melee system allows you to actually fail a quick time event and still manage to win a fight, it’ll just go a different way.

If you want to learn more about this amazing-looking PS4 exclusive, you can check the interview out just below. Also, don’t forget to read our detailed feature with screenshots, artwork gameplay footage and the new trailer.
