The Order: 1886 Takes Top Spot in UK Sales Charts

Although The Order: 1886 released to a fair few scathing reviews it hasn’t stopped Ready at Dawn’s visually engaging take on Victorian London from roaring to the top of the UK sales charts.

Eager players didn’t seem to be swayed too much by The Order: 1886‘s mixed reviews as players threw their money at retailers to push the PS4 exclusive ahead of Take-Two’s Evolve which debuted at the number one spot last week.

The rest of the top ten is a familiar picture with the likes of FIFA 15, Call of Duty, Destiny and Minecraft showing their staying power whilst newly released Dead or Alive 5: Last Round only managed to reach 27th.

Personally I wouldn’t have anticipated The Order: 1886 taking the top spot, especially with the first reviews being published online a day before the game hit shelves. It’s nice to see players embracing something different because that is exactly what The Order: 1886 is – different.

Will it hang in until next week? Maybe, it’d be interesting to see how well it does over the coming weeks and for those hoping for a sequel, more sales means a great chance of a follow up.
