The Protagonist of Lost Planet 3, Jim Peyton, Talks Survival, Death and Hope

Capcom and Spark Unlimited are bringing back Lost Planet 3‘s story-driven narrative for its single player campaign, which going by the latest trailer, seems to be an excellent choice.

Jim Peyton, the protagonist of the game, was sent to the colony E.D.N. III by his employer NEVEC and must battle against sub-zero temperatures, ice storms, harsh terrain and of course an indigenous species hell-bent on removing mankind from its homeland. What makes the trailer especially moving is that Jim struggles with keeping hope alive as death looms close by. That struggle is what makes him more human and gives the player a reason to sympathize with him.  Here’s hoping that Spark Unlimited’s take puts the “spark” (sorry) back into the Lost Planet series.
