The Secret World Scores a Million Potential Beta Testers

As people from all over the world are kicking each other’s face in the spin-off browser game The Secret War (Go Templar!), the first beta weekend of the actual MMORPG The Secret World will begin tomorrow.

To prepare us for the battle Funcom and Electronic Arts pulled out some numbers from their hat, letting us know that over a million users registered for the beta, while two million unique visitors have hit the website of the game.

In addition to that ¬†over 250,000 gamers have, as mentioned above, kicked each other’s face in The Secret War (that you can find here), with 40% of them joining the Illuminati, while Templar and Dragon have bee joined by about 30% of the total each. For some reason, though, the American secret society is getting trashed like no tomorrow by the other two¬†despite the numbers.

Those are definitely healthy numbers for a MMORPG that started its climb towards launch without too many fanfares and drum rolls.
