It has been almost 20 years since James Brian Hellwig (who changed his name to Warrior in 1993), known to many as The Ultimate Warrior, last stepped in the a WWF/E ring. As a video game character, Warrior was last playable in 2009’s WWE Legends of Wrestlemania and 2011’s WWE All-Stars. He will be available for the first time since the latter as a pre-order bonus in this year’s WWE 2K14.

Between 1986 and 1998, Warrior competed in both World Championship Wrestling and the World Wrestling Federation. In WCW, he was a one-time WCWA Texas Heavyweight Champion and Tag-Team Champion. In the WWF he was a two-time Intercontinental Champion, and one-time Heavyweight Champion – a title in which he won at the main event of Wrestlemania VI.

WWE 2K14 is being developed by Yukes and Visual Concepts and will be published by 2K Sports for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 29th and November 1st, 2013 in the United States and Europe, respectively.
