Sony and Giant Sparrow explore the story behind The Unfinished Swan in this trailer from PAX. Players take control of a young boy who’s mother was a great artist but left all of her paintings unfinished. After the boy’s mother passes away, his orphanage allows him to keep only one of her paintings. He chooses The Unfinished Swan, his mother’s favorite painting. One night, the boy notices that the swan is missing from the painting and so he sets out to find it, with the help of his mother’s silver paintbrush.
Players must guide the boy through a mysteries kingdom, following the swan’s footprints and using the silver paintbrush to find the right path through the game’s levels.
The Unfinished Swan appears to be another diamond in Sony’s ever-widening collection of innovative titles that populate its PlayStation Network. Check out the trailer below for a look at the game.
Giant Sparrow hasn’t announced a date of release for The Unfinished Swan yet but an early 2013 release seems likely.
