In just one week, players will get to experience the long-awaited next chapter of The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series with the upcoming third season of the series, titled “A New Frontier,” while the season will also be notable for being the first to not release on last generation consoles.

Telltale Games confirmed in an update on its website that The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier will not be releasing on either PS3 or Xbox 360 (both digitally or physically), with the studio explaining there will still be ways in place to export saves from those platforms (or others) into the new season.

Specifically, Telltale provided a breakdown on its website of ways for players to import saves from The Walking Dead: Season Two, which can be done through an active Telltale Account by transferring the save data from the original platform, and then downloading the save file onto the new platform.

For players that may no longer have access to saves from the previous game or platform, Telltale has also specified that The Walking Dead‘s third season will include a “Story Generator” feature to recreate and alter events from the previous seasons, so players can still include decisions and impacts from the previous seasons.

Specific information and guides to how to import saves from The Walking Dead: Season Two can be found by clicking here.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier will release its first two installments for PS4, Xbox One, PC, iOS, and Android on December 20th, 2016.
