The Wii U Version of Batman: Arkham Origins Will Not Include Multiplayer

Batman: Arkham Origins will launch for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U this October, but not all versions of the game will be created equally. We got our first look at the game’s exciting looking multiplayer earlier today, but unfortunately Wii U players will not be able to get in on that action. A spokesperson for publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that the Wii U version of the game will not contain multiplayer, explaining that the developers are focusing on creating the online experience for “platforms with the largest MP audience”.

It’s unfortunate the players who choose to grab the game on that platform will miss out on what is surely a highlight of this anticipated title, but I can’t say I’m surprised.
