The Witch and the Hundred Soldiers Gets First Screens, Looks Amazing

Nippon Ichi’s new RPG The Witch and the Hundred Soldiers turned some heads today when Dengeki Online tossed up half a dozen screens of the title. The game revolves around Metallica, a witch that controls any number of Hiyakkihei to do her bidding. It’s also an open world RPG, which is something you don’t see a whole lot in the genre.

The first thing you’ll notice is that the artwork for Metallica, as well as the other characters, are very Nippon Ichi. Let’s hope their humor stays, as well, as this game has the possibility of being very good (most of their stuff is, anyway, right?). The game is set for a multi-platform launch in the Spring of next year. Knowing NIS America, we’ll certainly see a release in the West, as well, no need to cross your fingers.

After the break I’ve stashed the screens, and above you can see the full spread in Dengeki‘s print publication, in case you’re interested.
