The Witcher 2 Will Get a Set of Mod Tools

on August 9, 2012 3:57 PM

CD Prokekt RED already shown a very mod-friendly attitude when they allowed Skyrim modders to use some of the assets from The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings in their creations, but many were wondering about the possibility of dedicated mod tools for the beautiful RPG from Poland itself.

Luckily for us the answer is yes. The Witcher 2 will soon have its own set of mod tools named “REDkit“, as announced by the developer today. The toolset will be shown for the first time behind closed doors at Gamescom next week.

According to the announcment, REDkit will allow users to create “complex and non-linear adventures” in the world of The Witcher 2. Can’t say I’m not excited for that.
