The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Cinematic Trailer Leaks, it’s Charming, and Will Make Heads Implode (UPDATED)

on August 14, 2013 1:33 AM

Today we were supposed to get a surprise from CD Projekt, according to a count down appeared two days ago on the official Witcher 3 website, and indeed the surprise came, even if earlier than CD Projekt themselves expected, since the new cinematic trailer of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was leaked.

The trailer, that you can see at the bottom of this post, features Geralt as he deals swift and violent retribution to a bunch of men caught in the process of torturing and hanging a lady.

The trailer itself is awesome, and the level of the cinematic is the usual one CD Project got us spoiled with in the past, but I’m fairly sure it’ll make a few pundits’ heads implode due to portraying a certain “damsel in distress” trope, in a fairly violent way too.

Not that we should care in the slightest about what those pundits will say, and I’m fairly confident that CD Projekt won’t pay them any mind as well. But I’m digressing, so just enjoy the trailer below. One thing is for sure: the final line “Killing Monsters” is downright fantastic.

Update: CD Projekt Must have noticed that the trailer was leaked, so they opened the floodgates on the official ones. The leaked clip has been replaced with the sanctioned video below. The count down on the official website also disappeared.
