This Week in Rock Band 3 DLC: Beastie Boys, Heart and More

on July 30, 2011 2:00 PM

The people over at Harmonix really know how to keep their audience happy.  Rock Band 3 owners continue to get more and more amazing content every week, regardless of the type of music you enjoy.  To go along with the recent song packs by Yes and Sound Garden, this week, they’re going a bit old school, adding some classic Rock, some classic Hip-Hop and even some amazing Funk/Soul.

This week, the PlayStation 3, Wii and XBox 360 get

  • Beastie Boys – “Make Some Noise”
  • Beastie Boys – “No Sleep ’till Brooklyn”
  • Heart – “Barracuda”*
  • James Brown – “Super Bad, Pts. 1 & 2″*
  • Rufus (ft. Chaka Khan) – “Tell Me Something Good”

As usual, each song will cost $1.99 in real currency, or 160 Microsoft Spacebucks.  The tracks marked with an * will be upgradable to Pro-Guitar/Pro-Bass for an additional $0.99 (or 80 Microsoft points).

Another awesome week for Rock Band content.  And seeing as how Harmonix just hit 3,000 songs available for Rock Band, it doesn’t seem like they are showing any sign of slowing down.  Let’s hope it stays that way for a long time to come.
