Three new ArcheAge Trailers (and a Skyrim Homage) Revealed

Today three new ArcheAge trailers have hit the web. The first two come from the developer XL Games, and are rather… interesting.

The first one depicts a rave dance party, showcasing some of the social animations of the game, and is for sure something I wouldn’t have expected to see at this stage of development. The best part, though, is that the people at XL Games seem to be paying homage to the popular “buckethead” feature in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, one of the ravers has, in fact, an evident bucket on his head.

One could say that they may not be related, but the timing is quite telling. It’d be a quite amazing coincidence otherwise and we know that the people at XL Games are quite keen on playing western games. Moreover, an upcoming sandbox MMORPG paying homage to an extremely successful sandbox RPG based on the same idea of a massive explorable world isn’t so surprising.

The second video is even more peculiar, as it basically describes ArcheAge in sand drawing style. No gameplay to see here, you’ve been warned.

Last but not least, the third trailer comes from the publisher of the Chinese version Tencent, and is definitely the most traditional of the tree, introducing the setting and showing off a mix of the features of the game, including the beautiful landscapes, sea battles, gliders, castle building and more.
