Cinder Interactive Arts, the community that has been hard at work on the multiplayer-focused remake of the beloved TimeSplitters, released the first trailer for the game, but it’s not exactly what everyone was expecting.

The trailer for TimeSplitters Rewind consists of multiple shots of green crystals floating in the ether. Besides vague reflections in the crystals that might be trying to hint something to our subconscious, there isn't much more to the trailer. Needless to say, it's been leaving many fans of the franchise a little dumbfounded.

What is exciting is that, at the end of the trailer, the team also announced that the project, which has been in development since 2013, is no longer due to be released in 2018. It has been moved up to 2017.

The game is expected to release on PlayStation 4 and PC. If you are interested in seeing more about the game, be sure to check out the developer’s blog.
