We have known for a while that tapping an amiibo figure to your Wii U gamepad while playing Super Mario Maker will allow you to turn 8-bit Mario into that character. The feature was showcased at E3 this year and a recent video from Nintendo revealed that all currently announced amiibo (except the Mii Fighters) will be compatible. Today, an image has surfaced of an 8-bit Tingle, from The Legend of Zelda, featured in Super Mario Maker. There is no Tingle amiibo released or announced yet, however.

8-bit costumes can be unlocked in-game, so this may not mean that a Tingle amiibo figure is on the way. Also, the artstyle of Super Mario Maker seems easy to fake an image in. There are supposedly over 90 costumes available, so the popular character Tingle may not be that far-fetched.
Super Mario Maker launches for Wii U on September 11.
