Today’s XBox 360 Dashboard Update Delayed

on December 6, 2011 11:45 AM

You’re probably wondering what happened to that XBox dashboard update that was scheduled for today. Don’t worry, you didn’t miss the update prompt. XBox Live’s own Larry Hryb tweeted this morning that the update “has been slightly delayed,” and as of right now there is no information on how long we’ll have to wait.

“Slight delay,” of course, is a very vague term. “Slight” could mean later today, the update meeting its slated December 6 release date. Or it could mean tomorrow, or even later, depending on the issue. Hyrb promised an update on the situation at some point later today.

It seems like November and December have been rough months for games, no? Besides the staggering number of savings-destroying new releases, Nintendo is late on releasing the 10 Ambassador GBA games, Skyrim had gotten all glitchy and weeps for patches, and now Xbox Live is suffering the lag. Too much turkey and eggnog folks, let’s pull ourselves together and march bravely through this holiday slog.
