PS Vita Exclusive Tokyo Clanpool Gets New Trailer Showing Opening Cutscene

Today Compile Heart released a new trailer of its upcoming JRPG Tokyo Clanpool.

And yes, this is a PS Vita exclusive game. Japan is still getting those, and it isn’t even all that rare.

The story of Tokyo Clanpool is set in a world threatened by monsters, and the best defense appears to be having a government cabinet made of cute girls that also transform in order to fight against said monsters. It makes perfect sense, doesn’t it? … In Japan it does, of course. That’s why we love Japan.

Other than that, the game is the classic Japanese-style dungeon-crawling RPG, shown from a first-person perspective. Yet, it comes with some unique twists in the battle system. That includes characters equipped with a gadgeteer and the “Holy Manifestation Mode”. You can read all about that here.

Today’s trailer showcases the game’s opening animation, including the theme song “Change the future!” performed by Shoko Sasaki and composed by NUTz, with arrangement by Kengo Minamida from the Onetrap team.

You can check it out below, and also enjoy the first trailer revealed a few weeks ago.

Tokyo Clanpool will be released in Japan on October 5th, exclusively for PS Vita. At the moment there is no mention of a western release.
