More than a fair share of video games have been canceled or delayed due to the horrible earthquake that struck Japan weeks ago. As such, the fate of Tokyo Game Show 2011 has been up in the air for quite some time now. Luckily, the knowledgeable game convention will go on as planned. Event organizers recently spoke with Kotaku and announced that “with things as they stand now, we are not considering cancellation or delaying the show.” However, that is subject to change due to relief efforts, rolling blackouts, and recovery efforts. The organizers went on to say, “based on circumstances going forward, a reduction is possible.” As it stands now TGS 2011 is still scheduled for September 15th and will be held at the Makuhari Messe.
