Tokyo Game Show 2014: a 100 Minute-Long First Person Tour of the Craziest Gaming Show of the Year

on September 24, 2014 5:13 AM

Tokyo Game Show is probably the craziest and most colorful gaming event of the year, but unfortunately is also the most inaccessible for western gamers due to its location, which happens to be half around the world for those living both in the US and in Europe.

This year I was there, and I decided to bring you along with me, at least metaphorically.

I picked up my camera, walked inside the show, and filmed the whole place, pretty much like a first person shooter in which you don’t shoot anyone, even if┬áby the end of the video you’ll probably want to shoot me.

In the video below you can see all the booths, from Microsoft to Sony, passing by Tecmo Koei, Arc System Works, Sega and many others, and hear about the most interesting, weird or simply funny things that happen at Tokyo Game Show.

So sit down, grab a drink, forgive my usual terrible accent, and enjoy the tour.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
