A good chunk of the reviews have come in, and the critical reception of Tomb Raider is looking to be overwhelmingly positive. When gamers pick up the game on March 5th, they also have the option of acquiring the official soundtrack, which will be releasing the exact same day.

Crystal Dynamics passed the responsibility of creating the game's music to BAFTA award-winner and veteran composer Jason Graves, whom has been composing video game scores for over 20 years. His most recent works prior to Tomb Raider include the Dead Space franchise, F.E.A.R. 3, and Star Trek: Legacy, among dozens of others.

Crystal Dynamics described the final product as, "found sounds, authentic percussion and a truly unique custom instrument interwoven with orchestral themes and textures." Graves described the Tomb Raider OST as, "the culmination of more than two years of work and musical exploration. It contains all the musical elements I love, wrapped up neatly together - mysterious textures, evocative percussion and thematic developments to die for."

The soundtrack releases on March 5th and will be available on Amazon MP3 and iTunes among other digital avenues; the hard copy on CD can be pre-ordered on the official Tomb Raider site.
