Today, developer Pocketwatch Games -- the team behind Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine -- announced thats its real-time strategy game, Tooth and Tail, is set to launch on PS4, PC, Mac, and Linux on September 12th. To celebrate the release date announcement, the developer has also released a new cinematic trailer for the game.

Helping fill the void of RTS games on PS4, Tooth and Tail is a game set in a world of animal revolution. In it, the Commonfolk, the Civilized, the Longcoats, and the KSR are at war over who will and who will be eaten. Wage war with customizable factions, with units like mustard-gas skinks and flamethrowing boars across randomly generated maps that will provide a fresh-ish experience each time you play.

Matches are said to take roughly eight minutes and controls have been narrowed down to only a few buttons -- which is likely why it can be played on consoles in the first place.

The game features online play, up to four play support (split-screen supported), an original soundtrack from Grammy Nominee Austin Wintory (who's other work includes the likes of Journey, The Order: 1886, and The Banner Saga series), and a story mode where you play as the leader of the Longcoats, Arroyo Bellafide, and must build a fortress and lead a squadron of drunken squirrels to victory.

Tooth and Tail's price-point is currently unknown; however the game will be available to pre-order starting July 18th, so a price will be known by then.
