Total War: Attila Leaves Barbarism Behind and Enters the Age of Charlemagne: Screenshots and Trailer

If you’re just about done with barbarians, pillaging and nomadic tribes, but you still don’t feel ready for the fantasy setting of Total War: Warhammer, maybe you’d like a taste of what Total War: Medieval 3 could be like.

Unfortunately The Creative Assembly didn’t just announce the third Medieval game, but Age of Charlemagne, an expansion for Attila: Total War that will catapult you at the very outset of the Middle Ages.

Age of Charlemagne comes with a map of 50 provinces (Which you can see below alongside screenshots aplenty and a trailer), a new UI, its own playable factions, new units, technologies, skills and agents.

There will also be new features like “War Weariness,” which will push good kings to balance war with peace in order to keep their population healthy and happy.

The expansion will be released on December 10th, and you’ll be able to pre-order it on Steam today at 6 PM GMT.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait. Now give me a proper Medieval, TCA.
