Touting Portal and Bioshock Developers, Amazon Games Studios Is Hiring for Its First PC Game

Amazon has begun reaching out for new team members for their game studio. Multiple job listings have come up on Gamasutra, as well as a sponsored post where Amazon asks for applications for those who, “want to be on the tip of the spear for game design and technology.” The team is reportedly made up of prior Portal, Bioshock, and World of Warcraft developers.

The post claims that Amazon is, “committed to gamers, and building great teams who are excited to use Twitch, the AWS cloud, and technical innovation to radically evolve gameplay.” Job listings include: Game Development Engineer, Tools Engineer, Senior Level Designer, Visual Effects Artist, Graphics Engineer, Game Economy Designer, and more.

Amazon first announced its Game Studios initiative in 2012, and the company¬†currently has Reflexive Entertainment and Double Helix Games, who are responsible for the recent Strider. Most recently Amazon acquired Twitch.tv, a live streaming service for video games. Amazon Game Studios has developed four Android games so far: To-Fu Fury, Til Morning’s Light, Tales from Deep Space, and Lost Within.
