Greg Kasavin, Creative Director for Supergiant Games took to the PlayStation Blog today to announce that his company’s latest game, Transistor, is now available to pre-order. The game is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 (in addition to the PC) on May 20.
Transistor is taking advantage of the power and features of the PlayStation 4. The game contains a lot of amazing 2D artwork and all of it will be displayed at a full 1080p. Like Bastion before it, Transistor will feature a narrator. What’s unique about it here is that the voice will not only be in sync with the DualShock 4’s light bar but the voice will also come through the controller’s speaker.
The game will feature more than 30 trophies including the coveted Platinum Trophy. “Our philosophy around Trophy design is we want players to discover the breadth, depth, and content of the game, and feel rewarded for it,” says Kasavin. “Some of our Trophies concern hidden aspects of the game that we’ve purposely said nothing about, so we encourage you to discover these for yourself as you play! Though if you want look them all up and aren’t worried about spoiling bits of it for yourself, that’s cool too.”
