Travel through the World of Destiny with Awakening

Is it me or does deals sounds so much better when the word “free” is attached to them. It just so happens things are about to sound a whole lot better. As a part of Bungie Day, today’s “loot” of the day is the free release of Destiny’s first track Awakening, which was first heard by the attendees of E3 this year

The brand new music from Marty O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori is set seven hundred years into the future in a post-apocalyptic environment following a prosperous period of exploration, peace and technological advancement known as the Golden Age. The instrumental piece almost has a Halo sound to it, which is probably intentional since Destiny was first referenced in Halo 3: ODST, in which a sign on a wall read “Destiny Awaits” and showed a picture of Earth with a mysterious orb floating nearby.

Destiny will be released on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in 2014 but you can check out the Awakening track now.

Former genius and a woman of mystery and power, whose power is exceeded only by her mystery, Dana Abercrombie has been playing video games since birth (yes birth...we did say "genius"). Despite her secret desire of wanting to give it all up to become a gorgeous billionaire, Dana is most passionate about video games and films often times getting in many heated debates resulting in being thrown out of many gatherings. Despite having a degree in English AND Journalism (multi-tasking FTW!) from the University at Albany-SUNY, she is currently interested in perusing a degree at Yale Law School, because one should never give up on a dream of becoming a gorgeous billionaire...and knowing how to sue someone as a result of those heated debates
