Since its debut, the Trine series has held on to a steady and passionate fan base, and with numbers that have now reached into the several millions, developer Frozenbyte has a lot to celebrate.

Frozenbyte announced through a press release that sales for Trine and Trine 2, across all platforms (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, Mac, Linux, and Android), have now crossed the threshold of over 7 million copies sold worldwide. In celebration of the significant sales milestone, Frozenbyte is releasing the level editor for both Trine and Trine 2 to fans through Steam, letting players make levels on par with the game developers. Frozenbyte detailed in the release:

“The editor for the Trine games gives users a first-hand look at the development process. Players can now do the same things to Trine or Trine 2as the developers; they can edit existing maps to their liking, create entirely new ones from scratch, or even create a completely different game.”
