Trion Worlds announced today that it's account database has been hacked by unauthorized intruders.

According to the developer of Rift and End of Nations the hacked database included user names, encrypted passwords, dates of birth, email addresses, billing addresses, and the first and last four digits and expiration dates of customer credit cards.

Luckily there's no evidence or no "reason to believe" that full credit card information has been leaked.

Despite the passwords being encrypted, it's pretty easy to access them, so users will be prompted to change their passwords the next time they will access the Trion Worlds website.

As compensation gamers that own Rift will receive three days of free game time and everyone with a Trion account will receive a Moneybags’ Purse, which increases your looted coin by 10% wether or not they have Rift yet.

If you use your Trion Worlds username/password combination on other services, it's time to get through the tedious process of changing them all. You can read the full statement from the developer here.
