Tripwire Releases First Entry in Killing Floor 2 Development Diary

on September 5, 2014 8:27 PM

Today, Tripwire Interactive has released the first part of  a developer diary series for the making of Killing Floor 2.

In the first episode titled “THE ZEDS”, creative director William Munk and mo-cap actor Jackamo Harvey give viewers an in-depth look at what it took to create the crazy creatures of Killing Floor 2. The motion capture all took place at Sony’s motion capture studio in San Diego, CA, with Jackamo being seen doing a variety of flips and zombie sprints for the various characters that he portrays, even tapping into his feminine side to play the Stalker. Stick through the whole video and you’ll even be treated with some rare footage of various Tripwire developers doing their best Zed impersonations that are nothing but priceless – a must watch for dedicated fans of the series.

Killing Floor 2 is the sequel to 2009’s cult hit co-op shooter, Killing Floor, a fully fleshed out game based on a popular Unreal Tournament 2004 mod of the same name. After years of support, the sequel is looking to reinvent the game with its focus on gore, blood and satisfying weapons that has made me drooling to get my hands on it. The new game takes place in continental Europe, with the Horizon Biotechs monstorous creations overwhelming the European Union’s infrastructure in just one month after the events in the original Killing Floor. It’s up to you now to go into the infected zones and eradicate the specimens infesting them.

Presently, Killing Floor 2 is in development by Tripwire Interactive for release on PC and SteamOS sometime in 2015.
