Truant Pixel Goes Simple With New PS4 Dynamic Theme; Sony Releases Free UFC Theme: Screenshots Inside

After a round of problems on the PlayStation Store that caused a few newly released PS4 themes not to be available, two new interesting ones can now be purchased on the North American storefront.

The first is by Truant Pixel, named LightStream Abstract Dynamic Theme. This time the prolific team went goes minimalist, but still kept using the PS4’s internal clock to deliver something unique, even if somewhat resembling the original wave background of the console’s UI.

“LightStream utilizes the PS4™ system’s internal clock to drive constantly changing color and tonality, with different variations programmed for every hour of every day of the week. Color shifts are seamless and procedural, resulting in unique combinations that can vary from subtle to dramatic when evolving from one scene to the next.

The end result is a theme which allows for a completely unique color presentation for every day of the week, even if experienced at the same time each day.”

It costs $1.99 and it can be found here.

The second is from Sony Network Entertainment, and while it’s static, it’s completely free, dedicated to the upcoming UFC fight between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor. You can find it here, and watch a few screenshots and a video of the two themes below.
