Turn Your Wii Controllers Into a Fishing Rod

The Wii is kind of famous for having…interesting peripherals, but I don’t think we have seen anything that can top this one.

Xseed is bringing Fishing Resort to the US with a fishing rod accessory. That’s right, you can now have the ultimate virtual fishing experience in your living room, complete with a virtual rod.The game is made by PROPE, an independent studio founded by no other then Yuji Naka. If that name rings a bell, that’s because he worked on the first of Sonic the Hedgehog games and was head of Sonic Team at one point.

Fishing Resort and the bundle with the fishing rod accessory will be out in time for the holidays for a MSRP $29.99, as well as offer the game as a standalone game for MSRP $19.99. I’m actually tempted for this price. Pictures after the break, and trust me, you will want to see this.

Isshak started gaming with the NES, and has owned almost every console since then. He was born in Togo, grew up in Benin, studied in the US and now goes to college in France! You don't get more international than that, and his weird cultural background is reflected in his favorite games, which range from Final Fantasy to Bit Trip Runner to Dead Space to Deus Ex!
