Twentieth Century Fox Files Trademark for Alien: Isolation, Suggesting New Alien Game in Development

Even after the whiplash of Aliens: Colonial Marines in the beginning of the year, it looks like Fox is not quite over yet with the Alien franchise after a new report spotted the company may have interest in the franchise for a new game.

Fox has reportedly filed a trademark for a new video game entry called Alien: Isolation, which lists the new title as being “for use with computer game and video game software” and “downloadable mobile software.” Even with the cancellation of the long-gestating Aliens RPG and the critical/commercial failure of Aliens: Colonial Marines, it’s hard to say yet whether Fox wanting to dive back in with Alien is brave, or sad. But, hopefully in the near future we’ll have more details and get to know further about the fate of Alien games in Fox’s hands.
