Two Lovely PS4 Dokodemo Issho-Themed HDD Bay Covers Made by Sony to Celebrate Toro’s Birthday

Starting today and for the whole week Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia is celebrating the 15th birthday of the popular PlayStation mascot Toro Inoue, also known as “Sony Cat,” that first appeared in DokoDemo Issho on May 6th, 1999.

As part of the celebrations, Sony had two lovely custom PS4 HDD Bay Covers on show. You can see them above and below in two pictures courtesy of Twitter users Odayoshi and Yumatotoro, who snapped them at the event held at Sony Computer Entertainment’s elegant main HQ in Ginza, Tokyo.

One of the laser-etched covers shows Toro himself and his black companion Kuro, while the other features a group shot of the main characters of DokoDemo Issho.

At the moment it’s unknown if they will actually be made available for purchase, but they definitely look super-cute.

One thing is for sure: Sony Japan is going all out in producing this kind of item, and hopefully the trend will move westwards soon.
