Game developer Brainseed Factory recently announced that their indie title Typoman will be releasing worldwide on the PlayStation 4 this Tuesday, February 21.

If you are unfamiliar with Typoman, a description of the game is as follows:

Typoman is a mesmerizing puzzle platformer, in which you slip into the role of a character made of letters, struggling to make your way through a dark and hostile world. Despite your small stature, you have a powerful gift: You can construct words to alter your environment. However, choose your words wisely. They can either be a blessing... or a curse!

It also boasts the following features:

  • Wield the power of altering the world by creating, changing or destroying words

  • Solve ingenious and challenging puzzles with a unique aesthetic mix of typography and pen and ink graphics

  • Captivating, carefully drafted, on-the-fly told story using witty word puzzles and puns

  • Surreal, atmospheric game world

  • Featuring Trading Cards and Badges (Steam), Cloud Save, Leaderboards and Achievements

  • Distinct soundtrack specifically composed for the game

Typoman has also been the recipient of a few various awards over the past year or so including "Best Game Production" at the German Video Game Awards 2016 and "Best Casual Game" at the Game Connection Development Awards in 2015. It currently boasts a "Very Positive" rating on Steam after nearly 100 reviews.

Typoman was released on the Wii U in 2015 before later coming to PC in 2016 as Typoman: Revised. The Revised version of the game came to Xbox One just last week and is the same version that will be coming to PS4 this week. You can watch the PS4 launch trailer below to get a look for yourself at just how the game plays.
