Ubisoft released a pretty funny, self-deprecating trailer today with their announcement of their E3 lineup. There are going to be some unannounced game reveals along with footage for much anticipated already announced games such as Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry 5, Just Dance, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and The Crew 2.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot commented on the excitement leading up to E3 :

“E3 is truly a moment of excitement and pride, not just for Ubisoft but for our entire industry. We’re looking forward to sharing our unique take on creating game worlds and our action-packed line-up with players, and to seeing what our fellow developers are working on. These great games are the result of the collective efforts of our talented teams from around the world, partnerships with some of the biggest names in entertainment, and contributions and feedback from the players themselves. That’s why we can’t wait for the thousands of fans attending this year’s E3, and the millions more watching from home, to discover what we have in store.”

It's probable that we will see at least one new IP announced from Ubisoft, as it's been the standard operating procedure the last several years at the event. The next Assassin's Creed is rumored to take place in Egypt and some footage is expected to debut along with extended looks at Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2.

Ubisoft games are known to get a few leaks before release, so the publisher decided to poke a little fun at themselves in their E3 2017 Lineup Reveal trailer. Technically, it should be titled a "Lineup Reveal" trailer, as it doesn't actually reveal anything. Instead, you see two members of the team speaking with Guillemot as he begins to watch the trailer. Rather than getting a peek at any new footage, we're instead treated to "footage removed" messages on the screen. At the end is perhaps when we get the funniest part of the video, as Guillemot makes fun of the company's use of the word "iconic". Ubisoft is known to overuse the word, and you see him type it into a YouTube comment before deleting it out. It's a funny little jab, and self-irony is always funny.

You can check it out below, and the Ubisoft E3 2017 conference is scheduled for Monday, June 12th, at 4PM est.
