Ubisoft Excited About Assassin’s Creed II Sales

In the midst of jumping off of buildings onto random commoners, stabbing your subjects, and covertly walking amongst citizens, Assassin’s Creed II has managed to get a wealth of good reception. And who else can be happier about this that publisher Ubisoft, eh? At least this is what they expressed in their press release.

Activision has stated that Assassin’s Creed II has sold through 1.6 million, if we are to take their word as truth. In contrast to the original’s first week sales, that’s a hefty 32% increase; still making it the fastest selling new IP ever in the good ol’ US of A.

I have yet to play the game and will, more than likely, be picking it up sooner than later. I wasn’t to happy about the first one, to be honest (it was mediocre for me). But if this one is getting that good of a reception, then maybe it’s worth giving a shot.
