Ubisoft Recruiting for a New Multiplatform AAA Game

on January 9, 2014 2:12 PM

Ubisoft just posted two career opportunity ads for the San Francisco studio seeking a Lead Gameplay Programmer and a Gameplay Programmer for a “new multiplatform AAA project.”

While no details have been given about the nature of the game, both ads include the requirement  “Developed games on current gen consoles (PS3, Xbox360) and PC/Mac.” That could indicate that the project is headed for those platforms, but that’s not a given. Developers that worked on next generation projects are still rare, so Ubisoft could just be shooting for the best possible alternative.

Ubisoft San Francisco is the studio responsible for the Rocksmith franchise, and quite a few minor projects like Just Dance Kids, Smurfs, Petz Nursery 2, and CSI Crime City Facebook.

We’ll keep you posted if anything new will surface about this mysterious game.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
