Udon Bringing Sengoku Basara: Samurai Legends to Europe

on January 17, 2012 7:00 PM

North American fans of Sengoku Basara are about to be disappointed yet again. As if the fact that there are pretty low chances of Sengoku Basara 3: Utage getting localized wasn’t depressing enough, now Europe gets a graphic novel. Lauded comic studio Udon has announced Sengoku Basara: Samurai Legends Volume 1, exclusively for European territories (for now, anyways).

The graphic novels will cover the same events as the video game series, meaning that they will weave together events from actual Sengoku period Japanese history, fast paced action and cheesy anime dialogue in a way that is moderately entertaining. Udon’s work is popular on an international level, so perhaps American japanophiles will be able to add this to their manga collection eventually. Sengoku Basara: Samurai Legends Volume 1 will be 360 pages, priced at £14.99 and available for purchase on February 29th.
