The latest issue of MCV contains a list of the best-selling games at retail in the UK during Q1 2017, and to no one surprise: Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.
As you may know, NPD also recently revealed that Ubisoft’s new open-world shooter is currently the best-selling game at retail in the United States, and the game has been a consistent chart-topper — four times to be exact (more than any other game) — on the UK weekly sale charts.
Elsewhere on the charts, GTA V comes in at No.2, which again is no surprise. It will be 2077 and that game will be like..6th. Coming in strong at No.3 is PS4 exclusive from Guerrilla Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment: Horizon: Zero Dawn. At the No.4 spot is Capcom’s latest installment in one of the most iconic franchises in games, Resident Evil, in the form of Resident Evil VII. Rounding at the top five is FIFA 17, which again, is not very surprising.
Meanwhile, Mass Effect: Andromeda sits at No.9, right below another Ubisoft game — a new IP in fact — For Honor. Nintendo Switch’s big exclusive, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild comes in at No.7.
