Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Developer Teases “Amazing” Sequences in the Game

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is slowly rising over the horizon, with just a few months to go before its release on March 18th, and according to Lead Game Designer Robert Cogburn there are some rather amazing sequences awaiting for us, as he mentioned during an interview hosted by PlayStation France.

Cogburn was asked about his favorite moment in the previous Uncharted games, and while his preference fell on the Plane sequence of Uncharted 3, the topic quickly shifted to the upcoming game.

I can’t say what my favorite scene is, but I can tell you one of the moments during development that blew my mind. And it was when Kurt Margenau, one of our Lead Designers at Naughty Dog, first shown me the plane sequence from Uncharted 3. He said “hey, come check this out.” He gave me the controller and I played that sequence on a very small television by his desk, with no audio.

That whole sequence blew my mind. I’d probably have to say that the greatest sequence across all three games right now must be the plane sequence of Uncharted 3. But there are some sequence in Uncharted 4… (knowing smile and teasing pause) I can’t talk about those, but they’re pretty amazing.

Considering how amazing the jeep sequence that we saw at E3 already is, if there are scenes that are even better, and that we haven’t seen just yet, I can definitely say that I’m sold.
